Kids read more when they find a book they want to read (duh!) But, for many kids finding a good book can be difficult. One of my favorite ways to help match kids with their next favorite read is simply to ask them what movies or TV shows they like. Then, give them suggestions for books that build on their authentic interests. Do they love fast-paced adventures? Realistic drama? Slapstick humor? Romance? There are books for each of these categories.
For example, for kids who can’t get enough of the Marvel or DC Comics movies and shows, here are 12 books full of superhero adventures and hi-jinks.
