Not sure what kind of book your tween likes?
Here are a few tried-and-true questions that will help you get to know their preferences. Encourage them to consider all types of entertainment including TikTok, YouTube, movies, TV shows, video games, magazines, and, of course, books.
- Do you like things that are more magical or more realistic?
- Do you prefer funny things? Or things with suspense? Or full of action? Or a mix of all of these?
- Do you prefer true stories or made-up stories?
- For books specifically, do you like full-length novels, short stories, or books that mix pictures and words?
